Residential area - Art Laboratory - Offices - Multimedia database

At the foot of the Santa Barbara plateau, where the museum laboratory is situated, is a residential area, an attached art laboratory, offices, and a multimedia database.

• The disused railway station was bought in 1978 and transformed into a residential area by Spatari and Maas.

• The main office of the Foundation is situated here, and it is where the founders live and where artists and volunteers are accommodated until new guest quarters are completed.

• The works were carried out over time with the use of so-called “poor” and salvaged materials.

• The “Foresteria” is in preparation (project and architectonic designs by Nik Spatari) will have the function of a ‘small monastery’ able to accommodate 20 people and an
   annexed laboratory.
