Unfortunately, recently we found on the pavement some fragments belonging to Jacob’s Dream. Nik Spatari’s masterpiece realized in the early Nineties and called the Calabrian Sistine Chapel will be destroyed if we don’t undertake action now!!! Someone said: “Art will rise from the ruins” – exactly what happened at MUSABA. Before Nik and Hiske arrived, in 1969, there were just ruins and stones…the remains of the ancient Church inside the monastic complex dating the fourth century AD. After years of work the stone walls and the vault were completed and Nik started to design his masterpiece “Jacob’s Dream.” A unique artwork and mix of colors, vision and beauty (250 Sq. meters) which unites present, past and future of the Mediterranean arts. The masterpiece is at risk of disappearing because of the water seepage causing serious damage. Help us to cover the cost of the needed repairs.
